Getting Fit Post Holiday’s


What is the secret to getting and staying fit?  In one word: determination.

Getting and staying fit, maybe starting with a New Year’s Resolution, involves five steps but getting through the steps is not a linear process.  You may contemplate, plan and act but before you ever maintain the behaviour that makes you fit for life, you will likely stop altogether and start contemplating again before you get back to action. But with determination and patience you WILL get there! What stage are you in?

  1. Pre-Contemplation
  2. Contemplation
  3. Planning
  4. Action
  5. Maintenance

The glue that holds the five steps in changing your behaviour to get and stay fit for life is determine. With determination,  you may still lapse into periods of inactivity but eventually, you will get to a place where you feel and look your best.
