Healthy Eating Tips for the Holiday’s

It is that time of year again and avoiding unhealthy treats, meals and snacks that are lying around the office and at party’s can be a challenge. Our human will power is only so strong and the more we are exposed to unhealthy, but tempting treats, the easier it is for us to break down.

Fortunately, there is a lot we can do to stay healthy throughout the holiday season. If you want to avoid what may seem like inevitable weight gain and make your New Year’s resolutions easier to attain try out the following tips:

  • Tell your co-workers they can bring unhealthy treats to share with those who want them but kindly ask that they be kept somewhere out of site! Out of site, out of mind, slimmer waistline.
  • Try healthy Christmas recipes for the office or home found on this post!
  • Embrace the winter weather and go skating, tobogganing, snowshoeing, walking or skiing with family or friends.
  • Grab a nice hot peppermint tea instead of that chocolate!

By keeping your health and wellness top of mind during the holiday season, you will avoid that holiday hangover and enter the New Year on the right foot!
